Straub Sends Eviction Threat to ACR
But that’s only component of Straub’s strategy in the charged power dispute. On Monday, the Florida designer sent a letter to ACR threatening to evict them from the property.
The ability plant sits across Oriental Avenue from Revel, on land that normally owned by Straub. According to an attorney for ACR, the company would like to simply take the dispute to the United States District Court in Camden, as past instances working with disputes between the Revel and its tenants have been managed in that court.
ACR maintains that Straub is the source of the problems between the two sides, saying that the new owner is only ready to cover operations and upkeep on the power plant and wouldn’t pay for natural gas or the electricity made by the plant.
However, there will always be issues about the energy company: during the initial auction for the Revel, a cope with Brookfield Asset Management fell apart if they could not achieve a deal to cut back the $118.6 million owed to ACR bondholders by the past owners.
The Revel paid tens of vast amounts each year in energy costs to ACR.
Deal With Stockton Could Offer Energy from Showboat
