What Does the Bible state?

Examples of couples doing extra-marital intercourse are typical around us all. There is no way of preventing it—today’s tradition fills our minds with a huge selection of reasons to just go right ahead and have sexual intercourse outside of wedding.

But as Christians, we do not desire to follow everyone. We should follow Christ and know very well what the Bible claims about intercourse before wedding.

Reason # 1 – Jesus shows Us Not to possess Intercourse away from Marriage

In the 7th of Jesus’s Ten Commandments, he instructs us to not have intercourse with anybody apart from our partner. It is clear that Jesus forbids intercourse away from wedding. He is pleased when we obey God. He honors our obedience by blessing us.

Deuteronomy 28:1-3If you fully obey the LORD your Jesus . he will set you high most importantly the countries on the planet. Each one of these blessings should come if you obey the LORD your God upon you and accompany you . (NIV)

Jesus possesses reason that is good providing us this demand. First of all, he knows what is perfect for us. Him, we trust God to look out for our best interests when we obey.

Factor # 2 – The blessing that is exclusive of Wedding Night

There’s one thing unique about a couple’s first-time. The two become one flesh in this physical act. Yet sex represents a lot more than just physical oneness—a religious union takes spot. Jesus planned because of this exclusive experience of finding and pleasure to occur just inside the closeness of wedding. When we do not wait, we lose out on a distinctive blessing from Jesus.
