The Marriage Bureau is situated in the Moultrie Courthouse, JM 690.
Other responsibilities for the Marriage Bureau include the following:
- Filing, docketing, and register maintenance of all of the District of Columbia wedding records from 1811 to the current, and assisting people within their review
- Responding to questions regarding wedding permit application procedures
- Assisting people in the general public who want to correct a married relationship record
You may submit an application for a marriage permit in 2 means:
- Look at the Marriage Bureau (place JM-690; Moultrie Courthouse) and complete a paper application: Marriage License Application.
- Submit the program online (and look at the Courthouse showing evidence of ID, make payment, and get permit).
In most circumstances, you need to show evidence of age for both events through one of many after documents:
